IPDefine Ltd. (“IPDefine”), a company that analyzes the value of patents and supports their utilization and monetization, has received a JPY 500 million investment from Ichigo Asset Management and will accelerate the acquisition of dormant patents held by corporations.

We aim to build a mechanism through which technologies created through the efforts of researchers and engineers are not lost merely because they are no longer being utilized within their original organizations, but instead can generate new value in new settings.
With this financing, we now have the capacity to acquire patents directly and assume the time, cost, and risk required for their subsequent management and commercialization.
